i love christmas.

The season of giving and spontaneous singing and twinkling lights is being tucked away for another 11 months. And all that I seem to be doing lately is reminiscing on a magical month of Christmas cookies and wrapping paper.

My husband and I kicked off the season with classical music and dancing rats (i.e., the Nutcracker) and tumbled through December with an epic church Christmas party; a best friends' party where my husband won the ugliest sweater contest; manicures & present-giving extravaganza with some of the best ladies around; a whirlwind marathon helping Wayfaren ship out hundreds of maps; surprise trip to an exhibit made entirely out of ice; surprising my husband with a gift-giving countdown until he graduates seminary in 7 months; our own little Christmas in our apartment; mouth-watering barbecue and an uproarious Sorry! tournament with my family.

December proved to be a cheerful conclusion to an otherwise difficult year and I'm going to keep on savoring it far into the new year. Hope your Christmas was just as lovely!
